Project Summary

We were commissioned by Italia Eventi, a leading luxury event agency in Rome, to create architectural mapping for Hotel Hassler’s 125th anniversary. This mapping was projected on the hotel’s main facade, transforming the iconic site into a fantastical vision.

Brief

The client wanted the innate architecture of Hotel Hassler as well the Swiss heritage of the brand and spirit of “La Belle Ėpoque” to be the inspiration for the mapping.

Approach

Situated at the top of Rome’s famous Spanish Steps, Hotel Hassler’s location is an iconic part of the anatomy of the city. For their event, the hotel wanted to welcome guests with a spectacular and elegant dance of light. Our lab created a subtle yet evocative mapping animation using poetic and memorable images of the Swiss natural landscape to enhance the hotel facade. Our approach was to delicately enhance the innate beauty of the hotel’s architecture.
